Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Week

Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Week will be celebrated January 16-20, 2017. This week is an opportunity to reflect and act on Dr. King’s words and his commitment to equality.

Connect Through Service
Monday, January 16 - Friday, January 20

Part of simply living together is recognizing how you can serve those in need in your community. We are asking your organization or department to think about an act of service that they can complete during the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Week.

When your organization completes the service and/or brings any donations to the non-profit you have chosen, we ask that you take a photo of your group completing the service, or delivering the donation (please be sure to ask permission from the organization). Please post photos on social media and use the hashtag #niu #livingtogether and the community can celebrate the impact that we have had!
