Dr. Cox-Henderson works with the discipline coordinators in overseeing the on-campus clinical courses (ILAS 201 & ILAS 301) and facilitates the placement of pre-service teachers in the secondary schools. Prior to her current position, Ms. Cox-Henderson served as the certification advisor for History and the Social Sciences for five years; during this time she was actively involved in the development and oversight of the CLAS teacher certification program while serving on several committees. She has a Ph.D. in History from NIU. |

Mr. Haberkorn has been the assistant to the Coordinator since March of 2001. His primary responsibility is making the original contacts and following up with administrators in the secondary schools during the placement process. He also serves as Coordinating Instructor for ILAS 301 and has served as a small-group facilitator for ILAS 201. Mr. Haberkorn has been a certified teacher since 1994 in both Northwest Cook and DuPage Counties. He has taught at the junior high school, high school, and college levels, and has taught in an alternative secondary school. He completed his M.A. in English from NIU in the Spring of 2001. |

Mrs. Henry coordinates the clincal placements
for
ILAS 201, maintains office databases, and assists with most of the
administrative responsibilites for the office. She worked in the
advancement services
office from 1997-2002 and returned to NIU in October of 2004 after a
two-year leave-of-absence. |
